Weekend Activities

Tonight we are going over to our friends' Travis and Lori's house for their daughter Laila's 1st birthday! I will try to take some pictures to post of her.

Tomorrow is Cave Springs Day! I have never been, but I am guessing it is going to be a much smaller version of Frisco Festival. They are doing a pancake breakfast and a parade and a dog show and then our church is going to be having some activities since it is right there on Main Street. I think I am going to enter Eddie in the dog show...hopefully he just has to look cute and charm the crowd! I think he can handle that! Some of the kids from the youth group are going to be in the parade on our church's float, so we are going to go cheer them on. Once again, I will try to remember to take some pictures.

Oh, good news on the yard...I think they are done with everything that directly involved our yard! Right now we are trying to get rid of a mouse or two. Ugh!!! Eddie just wants to play with it so I am trying to talk Matt into letting me borrow a cat or two from Allison. We'll see!

The pictures above are some that Matt took...he is practicing lighting techniques. Eddie is a difficult model though because he won't sit still for very long! What a suprise!

3. How long did you date? We dated for 5 years and 2 months. Were engaged for 4 months. And have been married for 5 months

28. Who has more siblings? I do. I have one brother and one sister. He has one sister.

29. Who wears the pants in the family? Most big decisions we make together. I try to let him lead though.

Ok, so I know I haven't posted anything in a long, long time, but I just don't have anything to talk about! Matt and I are doing great and looking forward to (hopefully) buying a house this fall...and with all the digging and construction mess that has been going on around us I am very ready! I got home the other day and there was a hole about 5 feet deep and 6 feet wide across the whole front yard! I guess the city is running gas lines and they dig wherever they need to without any warning for the people it is going to affect! So, the next morning at about 7:10 I hear someone knocking on the door and when I answer it the guy asks if I need to leave anytime soon because they are about to dig up the drive way...so he tells me they can wait about 20 minutes before they dig into it and then it will be about an hour before it is filled again...so I run in and tell Matt he has 20 minutes to get ready for work and we rush around and barely get out of there...they had left a very small area for us to drive out through. They were also parking all their cars in our yard because they wanted to park in the shade! Too bad!! It's not a parking lot! It's a yard!! Well, I just thought I would share some of my frustrations with whoever reads this...

Time Flys!

I can't believe Matt and I have been married for 7 weeks already! I guess I have settled in, but we haven't really had a chance to breathe with all the other activities we have going on. I thought that things would slow down once we got back from the honeymoon, but I think it has gotten even crazier instead!

My First Blog!!!

Well, here it goes! I decided to give this a try after Jessica and I talked about. I wanted to be able to try to keep our family and friends included in our lives and figured this was a pretty easy way since we can't always call everyone we know and give them a detailed update on what we did over the weekend or what we have accomplished recently. This way you can hear it from me, first hand! I have really enjoyed reading Nikki's blogs and now Jessica will be posting things as well. I think it will be a great way to share our fun and special moments with our families that don't get to see us every day!
